CAM reaches over 500 students every year in Nayarit, México . We have taught children in many areas over the years such as: Punta de Mita, Corral del Risco, Higuera Blanca, San Ignacio, Sayulita, La Cruz, el Guamúchil, Lo de Marcos, Villa Morelos, San Pancho, and San Quintin.

Celebrando el Ritmo’s History

A note from Tracy Straus, Celebrate the Beat’s Founder & Artistic Director:

Celebrate the Beat first brought the love and joy of dance to the children of Riviera Nayarit, México in 2009. We are so proud that the program lives on today! What began as a 1-week residency in a single school in Punta Mita quickly grew to a thriving 6-month program serving 7 schools in 7 towns...ultimately reaching more than 6,000 children during our time together.

Today, the program continues to thrive under the direction of Colleen Macomber, who has led the charge as program director with Celebrate the Beat the past 9 years. Celebrando el Ritmo continues to thrive under her organization CAM.
